Dr. BBQ makes a So Cal appearance
Celebrity chef Ray Lampe (shown at right), better known as Dr. BBQ, is visiting Orange County to give a cooking demonstration for Big Green Egg, the ceramic grill that he endorses.
I had the chance to teach a BBQ class with Ray at the 2008 The Meet BBQ contest in Modesto, CA. He’s a first class cook and teacher, and I highly recommend his class to anyone intersted in cooking outdoors.
Ray dropped me a note saying,
“I’m passing through this weekend [ed - January 17, 2009] and will be cooking on the egg at a couple stores on Saturday. Stop by and say hi if you can. I haven’t decided what to cook yet but probably a coffee rubbed pork tenderloin and a bunch of other stuff.
